2017
Our story began in 2017, when a devoted regular fell in love—not just with the food, but with the people behind the counter and the welcoming, small-town charm that made every visit special.
2019
That regular was Nick Mavrikas, and alongside his wife Amanda, that spark turned into something bigger. In 2019, they purchased what was then known as Brooklyn Bagels & Deli, fulfilling a dream of bringing great food and even better service to the Sarasota community.
For the next four years, they ran the deli with heart—serving fresh bagels, satisfying breakfasts and lunches, and coffee that kept locals coming back. Their passion and commitment led to the opening of a second location, expanding their reach while staying true to their core values of quality and community.
2025
In 2023, Nick and Amanda sold the business and stepped away; but the story wasn't over.
After a couple of years away, it didn't take long to realize how much they missed the smell of fresh-baked bagels, the energy of the morning rush, and the relationships built one customer at a time. They missed being a part of their customers' daily routines and serving a community they had come to love.
In May 2025, Nick and Amanda returned with renewed passion, fresh ideas, and a new name: Bagels & Brews Cafe.
Today, Bagels & Brews Cafe is a reimagined version of the place they and so many others loved. Built on foundation of community, consistency, customer service, and cleanliness, it remains a place where guest can enjoy fresh-baked bagels, great coffee, and friendly service. It's about comfort, quality, and creating connections, served up daily with a smile and a whole lot of heart.

At Bagels & Brews Cafe, every morning begins with the aroma of fresh-baked bagels, the sound of coffee brewing, and the welcoming smiles of a team that genuinely cares. Our Sarasota location proudly serves guest seven days a week, while our Bradenton location is open six days a week, (Closed Tuesdays).
We’ve built our reputation one guest at a time by focusing on what matters most: quality food, exception service, and meaningful connections.
